Executive Team

Adam Sikora, Founder and CEO

Adam Sikora serves as the CEO, CFO, and part-time coach to maintain smooth operations and keep the business on the path of success. Prior to co-founding Athleticademy LLC, he worked as a data analyst and environmental scientist at Tetra Tech. He just finished a Professional MBA program at the University of Tennessee and has an extensive multiple-industry work history to include exemplary service in the United States Air Force as a UAV crew meteorologist. He also taught mathematics at Bristol TN City Schools and has multi-sport experience as a player and coach to include work with the Boys and Girls Club. Adam was born and raised in East TN and looks forward to enriching the community with new service!

Megan Sikora, Founder and COO

Megan Sikora serves as the COO, CHRO, and center's General Manager (as defined by the state of Tennessee Child Care Provider regulations). She develops curriculum, oversees scheduling of services/instruction, and strengthens relationships with the surrounding retail locations. Prior to co-founding Athleticademy LLC, she worked as a contracts administrator at Leidos. She has a BS in Business Administration and has worked in many industries to include exemplary service in the United States Air Force as a UAV crew meteorologist. Megan has an extensive background in soccer and has raised 3 young girls as budding athletes. Megan is excited to bring value to Knoxville families with fun and safe sports!

All of our staff are professionally vetted with background checks, certified in pediatric CPR/AED, and trained to safely work with children and families.

Knoxville Team

Ron Blackburn, Marketing Consultant

Ron Blackburn serves as a part-time consultant through the start-up phase with the option of coming on full-time as the company grows towards a franchise model. Before joining Athleticademy LLC, he has worked as an advertising and marketing professional for both Fortune 1000 (business to customer) corporations and smaller companies operating in the business to business sector. Additionally, he serves on a variety of committees both within industry and within the Knoxville community. As a new parent, and as someone who sees the need for an organization such as this within the community, Ron looks forward to leveraging his expertise to help the company grow and flourish!

Assistant Head Coach Giulio

Giulio comes to Knoxville from northern California and currently attends the UTK master's program for sport psychology and motor behavior to build on his B.S. in Kinesiology from San Jose State University. He has extensive sports experience, especially in soccer/track, and has been routinely involved in youth sports as a coach, volunteer, and manager of facilities/events. Giulio is passionate about helping to get more kids active and enriching their lives with the long-term benefits of sport!

Caroline Coker

Coach Caroline

Caroline is a native of the Knoxville region and currently attends Pellissippi State. She grew up in a sporty family and has developed a strong interest in health and wellness. She has broad customer service experience to include a member-safety role at a fitness center. She has helped with special-needs individuals and cared for large groups of kids. Caroline is happy to teach children the FUNdamentals!

Meg Francis

Coach Meg

Meg is a native of the Knoxville region and currently attending the pre-pharmacy program at UTK. Although basketball is her favorite, she has been active in many sports throughout her life to include highly competitive travel and school teams. She has also volunteered to lead and officiate at youth camps. Meg knows what it means to be a part of a team and wants to be a positive influence for kids!

Abbey Thoden

Coach Abbey

Abbey comes to us from the Carolinas and attends the UTK Sport Management program. She grew up in a sporty family, was always active in sports and loves to continue learning about the industry. She has also been a regular babysitter/nanny, so building relationships is something that comes naturally. Abbey believes sports are important to introduce to children at all ages and is eager to help make lasting connections between youth and sports!

Nicole Dirocco

Coach Nicole

Nicole comes to us from rural Connecticut and is currently majoring in public relations at UTK. Growing up in a big and athletic family, she played multiple sports and particularly excelled at basketball. She has broad childcare experience for different ages and capabilities. She has also worked on brand management campaigns for a world champion tennis player. Nicole brings a lot of energy and is excited to help kids!

Coach Christi

Christi is a local native, a graduate of Knoxville Catholic, and grew up involved in cheerleading and track. She has been active in an early childhood education program to become a kindergarten teacher. She has extensive experience in customer-service as well as babysitting, including assistance for special-needs. Christi loves entertaining children and encouraging them to stay active!

Erica Casteel

Coach Erica

Erica is a native of the Knoxville region and currently attending the Ross Medical Education Center for a medical assistant degree. Growing up she played many competitive sports with volleyball standing out as a favorite. She has broad experience in childcare, special-needs assistance, and retail customer service. Erica loves children, sports, and teaching them new things that can light up their confidence!

Rebekah Snyder

Coach Rebekah

Rebekah is a native of the local region and is currently attending Knoxville Catholic. She has been involved in many sports, but specializes in tennis, as she has played in multiple competitive leagues and conducted several youth clinics. She also has retail and babysitting experience in multiple settings. Rebekah is ready to help bring value to local busy families!

Coach Shae

Shae is a Knoxville native, currently attends Gibbs, and has a desire to study early childhood development and education. She has broad experience in childcare and a rich background in athletics to include advanced soccer, softball, cheerleading, and dancing. Shae is passionate about working with kids and is excited to use sports as a tool to help!
